Parents and Pucks
It's late and I really don't have much on my mind tonight. Except my mom is coming to visit and the Red Wings open their Conference Final series against Dallas tomorrow night. What a dilemma. Should I spend some quality time with my mom? Or should I watch the hockey game?

Well, it's a good thing my mom likes hockey too. Who says watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs with family isn't quality time, anyway?
I was born in Defiance, Ohio and went to Bowling Green State University for four years before graduating from Defiance College in 1990. After college, I got a job in professional hockey and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. After meeting a nice Southern girl and getting married, my office moved to New Jersey where we lived for six years. After 11 years with the East Coast Hockey League, I wanted a new challenge so we moved to Texas in 2001 where I continued my hockey career with the Texas Wildcatters. Then on September 24, 2005 Hurricane Rita hit the Southeast Texas coast and forever changed my life. My family and I evacuated and the storm ultimately promped a career change and another move. So now I'm back in North Carolina with my wife and two daughters and loving life. I have a great job, made some good friends and refound my faith through a wonderful church. Life is good.
