I was on my way to work this morning when I pulled up behind a vehicle that had the usual assortment of signs and stickers on the back. One was an American flag, one was a ribbon supporting our troops and another was a big UNC logo. But what caught my eye was the bumper sticker right below...it said "I pray that God isn't too picky."
And I got to thinking...God isn't picky at all. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, then all of your sins have long been forgiven. If you have accepted Him, you don't have to worry about God having 'qualifications' or being 'selective.' God doesn't pick and choose the best from those who have accepted him, he takes all of us into his arms and loves us equally, without fail.
I pray that someday a new bumper sticker finds its way onto that vehicle...one that expresses belief and confidence in the Lord, not one that hopes the driver is 'good enough' for God...because we ALL are good enough for God, if we allow God to be good enough for us.
